Handmade in Helsinki from recycled skateboards.
No two pairs are alike.
Inspiration
Lankku Eyewear was born from skate culture and crafted in Helsinki, Finland. Each pair of glasses is handmade from recycled skateboard decks, layered with scratches, colors, and stories from their past life. No two frames are ever the same, and I wanted the brand identity to carry that same spirit of individuality.

Design Process
The design process focused on translating this raw authenticity into a clear and timeless visual language. I explored shapes inspired by the curves of skateboard decks, the geometry of layered wood, and the rhythm of movement on a board. Through sketches, material tests, and refinements, the identity evolved into a bold mark that feels handcrafted yet minimal, a logo that can live on wood, packaging, and digital platforms with the same strength.

Logo Concept
In designing the logo, my goal was to balance street culture with timeless design. Every variation, every curve, and every detail connects back to skateboarding. The product itself, handmade frames each one of a kind, carries that same spirit into daily life. Lankku is more than eyewear. It is a statement of identity, born from the board and reimagined with purpose.
- The circle recalls the skateboard wheel, the heart of every ride.
- The italic straight lines are inspired by the deck and its movement, giving a sense of flow and energy.
- The mix of lines reflects individuality, with each cut representing the uniqueness of every handmade frame.
- When seen as a whole, the forms reveal the letter L, a subtle signature of the brand name Lankku.

Made in Helsinki
Lankku is rooted in Helsinki, a city where design traditions meet skate culture.
The brand identity reflects this connection, merging Nordic clarity with urban grit.

E-commerce Mockups
The brand identity was extended into digital through a custom e-commerce design that I created. The concept focuses on a clean and minimal interface where the products lead, supported by bold imagery and clear structure. The design keeps the brand presence consistent across touchpoints and reflects the same balance as the identity itself: crafted details, urban energy, and Nordic clarity.

“Handmade in Helsinki. Each frame is one of a kind — just like every ride.”
